CAEL to Host Inaugural “Stomp in the Swamp” Esports Tournament

Baton Rouge, LA (September 7, 2024) – Capital Area Esports League(CAEL) is excited to announce the inaugural “Stomp in the Swamp” esports tournament, set to take place on Saturday, September 21st, 2024. The event will be held at EBREL Arena (3000 N Sherwood Forest Blvd) and will feature schools from across the region competing in popular esports titles such as Rocket League, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, and Madden Football.

Doors will open at 9:00 AM, with the tournament kicking off at 10:00 AM. Students from 4th to 12th grade are invited to participate and showcase their gaming skills.

“We are thrilled to host the Stomp in the Swamp tournament and provide a platform for young esports enthusiasts to compete and connect with others who share their passion,” said Jeffery Harrison, Executive Director at LASEF. “This event is a testament to the growing popularity of esports and the positive impact it can have on our community.”
